  • classify(a, classbreaks)

definition

classify(a, classbreaks) results in a data item with the index number(s) of the domain unit of attribute b. The domain unit of the resulting item is the domain unit of attribute a.

  • a: numeric data item to be classified, e.g. containing nrInhabitants of a district.
  • classbreaks: data item with the start value of each class. The end value of a class is derived from the classbreak value of the next class. The last class is always open.
